You will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals studying at universities across Australia whose higher education experiences are enhanced by the flexibility and convenience of a CUC.
The CUC values students’ individual qualities and unique backgrounds, providing tailored services, support, and facilities to meet the specific needs of regional students like you.
Student Services
From navigating your university’s learning portal and refining your study skills, to managing your health and well-being, the CUC team is here to help you.
Student Engagement
At the CUC, we appreciate that you may face additional challenges and stressors, including disability, financial constraints, and caring or work responsibilities.
The CUC team wants you to succeed and are available for a coffee and a chat, referral to university or other services, or to help you manage your study workload alongside other demands.
Our team is trained in Mental Health First Aid and are committed to supporting your well-being.
For both current and future students, university administrative processes can be daunting and frustrating, particularly when you are studying remotely.
We can help with navigating university learning portals and connection with the appropriate university services to meet your individual needs. This may include access and inclusion requirements; applying for extensions or special considerations; or referral to progression teams, library services, and other student supports. Our team also assists students in finding and applying for scholarships.

Quiet Study Spaces
Students come to our Centre because they want a quiet study space where they can focus solely on their studies without the interruptions they face at home. We have tailored our environment with students at the forefront of our thinking.
If you need a quiet study space without the interruptions and competing demands of home, check out our Centre.
Our Centre has three key study areas:
- a dedicated quiet study room with computers and space to bring personal devices to work on;
- tutorial rooms, which can be used for seminars, tutorials, workshops, exams and group work; and
- space for student collaboration and break out, including a kitchen and student lounge area.
Since study in the daytime isn’t always possible, our Centre is open to registered students from 5:00 am to 12:00 midnight, seven days a week, and are staffed during business hours.
Technology
If your Wi-Fi has ever dropped out when a deadline is approaching, you will know that reliable, fast interest is essential for online study. Our Centre offers students access to high-speed internet (100 Mbps connection), back up battery to keep you connected, printing & copying facilities, video conferencing facilities, desktop computers & BYO spaces. We run workshops to help settle students into their study, with a particular focus on navigating their university’s learning portal and enhancing academic skills.
Exams
We can take the stress out of sitting exams remotely.
Our Centre offers professional exam invigilation services with qualified supervision and exam rooms. We also offer remote proctoring for the increasing number of online university exams.
